HVCA

HVCA are a representative association working with companies involved within the heating, ventilation, air condition and refrigeration industries (or HVACR for short).

Amongst the HVCAs membership our companies that are involved with the design of new HVAC products as well as companies specialising in the installation, maintenance and commissioning of these products. The HVCA in return offers these companies the associated benefits of being an accredited business.

One of the benefits the HVCA offers its members is providing information on a wide range of topics that affect professionals in the industry. This includes advice on legal and technical issues, health and safety legislation and support with lobbying for reform with issues in parliament that affect the industry.

HPA

The Heat Pump Association (or HPA for short) is Britains leading association acting for specialists in the heat pump sector. Amongst its membership are some of Britains most successful companies that deal with the manufacture of heat pumps and related products and parts.

One of the associations main objectives is to raise the profile of the heat pump market by spreading the word about the benefit of heat pumps. Heat pumps are energy efficient devices that are cost effective to run and maintain while causing less damage to the environment than conventional heating methods. The HPA do this on a continual basis and keep up to date with promoting new products and innovations in the heat pump sector.

As well as this the HPA provides support to its members by keeping them well informed of changes in the market. This includes providing companies with collated market research instigated by members that can benefit the industry as a whole. The HPA also hold events, distribute literature and carry out additional promotional work to benefit its membership.

CHPA

The Combined Heat and Power Association (or CHPA for short) is a British association focussing on the benefits of combined power and community heating products.

Combined heat and power (or cogeneration as it also known) is a fairly new energy efficient solution to traditional power sources for heating and electricity. CHPA systems work by taking waste heat generated from electricity processes and using it to provide heat or steam in a location that requires it.

The CHPA draw attention to the aims of their association by working with members as well as professional bodies and government organisations. Some of the associations aims are outlined below.

  • Monitoring and ensuring new legislation is implemented correctly to benefit companies in the heat and power industries as well as the environment and the public in general.
  • Try to resolve issues that affect the widespread integration of CHP installations in logical manner.
  • To inform politicians, businesses and the general public about the host of benefits that CHP solutions can provide.
